Rev. Hopkins was born in Washington County, MS. There he attended public school and graduated from Simmons High. He was employed by the Stein Mart stores for many years, excelling in the sales department. Rev. Hopkins accepted Christ as savior in June 1991. He later accepted his call to the ministry under the leadership of the late Rev. Woody Cotton at the New Foundation Baptist Church of Hollandale, MS. Rev. Hopkins relocated to Dallas County Texas to assist his ill brother in May 2015. He united with the New Hope Baptist Church of Mesquite in the same month of relocating. He is married to Barbara and they have 5 children. Rev. Hopkins is compassionate regarding prayer and evangelism. He enjoys comforting and assisting the people of God as opportunity allows.
